What To Think
Hey, this is Madison. To tell the truth when Mom and Dad first said that they were thinking about adopting I thought they were kidding, especially Dad. But at night now I think that wow, we are really going to do this. I think about the living conditions my little brother or sister are in. Every night I pray that God watches over him or her. Even if you stumbled across this blog on accident I ask that you pray for our family. Until next time...

Madison, you and I have never met, but I knew your mom when we were in High School (by the way, you look just like her!) After many years working in Africa, I have often prayed that people would see the need and respond by doing something radical - and that is what you and your family are doing. A family that would open itself up to receive a child who does not have one is an amazing, even miraculous thing to do. Imagine - a child in Ethiopia has been praying for a family - and you are God's way of answering that child's prayer. I've found that this is how God changes the world - he uses us. It is not easy, and I imagine the next 18 months for your family will be quite adventurous. Adventures are never easy, but they are always -- well, adventures. Thank you for daring to live an adventurous life.
