African Thunderstorm

I first saw this video when my dear friend Kristine posted it on her blog with a dedication to our family. I absolutely LOVE this version of Toto's 'Africa,' mostly because it sounds just like the rain on our roof when we were in Ethiopia. We were there just as the rainy season began. It rained every night and the days were clear and beautiful with the exception of one afternoon. And if you, too, love 80's music then this one will zing you back a few years!

BTW, Kristine and her husband have four amazing kids, three of which are from Russia. Several years ago God used Kristine's family to water the seeds of adoption He had placed in our hearts. She's always posting new stuff to her blog and I would encourage you to stop by and visit her!

This "choir" are very talented thunderstorm makers!!! I esp. liked the "jumping" that caused the rippling thunder. Mr. H needs to see this video so his students can try it!! Thanks for sharing!

LOVE this video! Love your blog. You'll have to stop by ours sometime and be sure to watch the video in the sidebar ("watch me"). It's a doc. on a family with 9 children (6 from Ethiopia). You will love it!

I like that video.
I was just catching up on your family happenings. Although each of us has a different experience, I can relate to SO much of what you talk about concerning the transition. Can't wait to get together sometime!!

Hey Nikki!
We are considering (if funds allow) taking all 5 of our kids with us when we go to Ethiopia. I'd love to hear any advice you might have. What would make the trip over and back more doable? What foods were you glad you brought? Which foods do you wish you would have brought? What things were you glad you packed....wish you would have packed...Anything you recommend doing or not doing while in Addis?
Other helpful tips or warnings....
I know this will take quite a bit of time to respond to. We are in no hurry..still waiting for our referral. When you get a chance, would you respond to this on our website? We appreciate it very, very much! Hope all is going well with you and your sweeties!
